Carolyn was one of those rare people that you meet all too infrequently. She was a tireless advocate for education and a source of support and knowledgeable advice to all who knew and worked with her. I was privileged to work with her for the past 5 years and during all that time she was never too busy to listen and provide guidance. I will miss her kindness and the tolerance she showed toward the eccentricities of a science “nerd”. I have lost a valued mentor and a friend.
